About Us

KARPATY represents Slovak culture abroad by performing traditional folk music and dance, so preserving traditional heritage for future generations.
Slovak dynamic music and dance captures imagination and loyalty of fans worldwide.
The ensemble is part of St Wenceslaus – Velehrad House, Christian – National and Cultural Centre in Notting Hill for Czech and Slovak people living in Great Britain.

The KARPATY members are not only Slovak but they also come from other Carpathian countries such as Romania, Poland and the Czech Republic.
All Karpaty members have either professional or a long amateur folk background in various ensembles.
Despite this multicultural diversity the group focuses on the rich Slovak folklore. You will also find Jewish, Polish or Gypsy music and dances from the Carpathian regions.
